What does it mean if you say a disc is stable?
A stable disc turns to the left at the end of the flight if you are a righthanded thrower. The more stable a disc is, the more it turns to the right at the end of flight.
What does it mean if you say a disc is unstable?
An unstable disc turns to the right för a righthanded thrower. The more unstable, the more it turns to the right.
What does "beat up disc" mean?
a beat up disc is the same as an unstable one, the is it turns to the right.
What does hyzer mean?
Hyzer is when you release the disc from the beginning with a left curve, that is, you dip the frisbee so that the edge you hold the disc in is higher then the opposite side. When you release it is will then fly left straight away, which in discsport is called a hyzercurve.
What does anhyzer mean?
Anhyzer is the opposite to a hyzer, that is you hold the opposite side of the disc higher then the side you hold the disc in. When you throw the disc it will go to the right (if you are righthanded) to, at the end, flatten out. If you have a stable disc it will even turn a little left at the end of flight.
What is an S-curve?
An S-curve is an anhyzerthrow with a stable disc. The goal is to try and get the disc to first turn right, when you release it, to flatten out and finally to turn left at teh end of flight. The longer S-curve, the longer throw you can basicly say.
What do you recommend as my first flying disc?
If you only want to buy one disc, NorDisc recommends you to buy a midrange disc. Two great beginner discs are Z-Line Breeze from Discraft and DX Roc by Innova. They both fly fairly straight and can be used for putting aswell.
What kind of putter, midrange and driver do you recommend?
Ow, that is impossible to say since there are sooooo many different kinds of discs and the flavour is very different depending on what kind of player you are. The best thing is always to talk to an established player to get his or her opinion. Do not hesitate go ask a discgolfer since all are almost always willing to help.
What is a disc?
A disc is the same as a frisbee. disc is really a shortening for Flying Disc. Disc is the most common name for the tool used when competing in discsport.
